Requirements
- A rooted Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830

- Download ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.6 (recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip, 5.4 MB) for the Galaxy Ace
- Make sure your device’s battery still has at least 70% power. You don’t want the device to shut down in the middle of the procedure.
- Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.
Instructions
- Copy the ClockworkMod Recovery ZIP file to your Galaxy Ace’s SD card.
- Turn off your Galaxy Ace.
- Boot into Recovery Mode by holding down the Power and Home buttons.
- Select Update ZIP from SD card.
- Select the ClockworkMod Recovery file.
- Confirm that you want to flash the selected file.
- After the file has finished installing, reboot your device.
- Boot into Recovery Mode to test out your new ClockworkMod Recovery.
