Hey ya...
So you want to update ur ROM and Kernels. Most of the ROMs and Kernels need CWM. Here is the way to install the CWM on your android 2.3.6.
First you have to download the CWM zip file. To download it click here.
NOTE: Your phone should be rooted
Now here are the steps to install it.
1.Put this zip file in your SD Card
2.Switch off your phone and restart it in recovery mode(volume up+power+home)
3.Select install update from SD card
4.Install the downloaded zip file.
5.Done
