How to Root Sony Xperia Z(C6602/3)

So guys I have got root on the newest firmware 10.3.1.A.0.244!


Since Sony has patched our beloved perf_event exploit (with which we rooted 30+ Xperia devices) I had to find an alternate way... so I did the smart thing, just used the kernel on which the exploit works, root the device and flash back the newest kernel!


THIS WORKS ON BOTH LOCKED & UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS!

[ how-to ]

1. Download the three files from the download section below
2. open FlashTool and flash the XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.A.0.423_Generic_NL.f tf - 7.12 MB file, this is JUST the kernel of an older firmware which was rootable
3. now once flashing is done reboot device and connect to PC in usb debuggin mode
4. CLOSE FLASHTOOL <<< VVVIMP STEP
5. extract the file DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip to root directory on c:\
6. execute runme_ file corresponding to your OS on desktop PC, this will execute a SPECIAL version of my easy rooting toolkit <<< VVVIMP STEP
7. the above step is crucial! if you use any older version of the toolkit then IT WILL NOT WORK!
8. after rooting is over the device will restart
9. you can verify if device is rooted by checking for SuperSU app (it is the newest version)
10. once thats done now power down device and open FlashTool again
11. now flash XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.1.A.0.244_BE.ftf - 7.17 MB file to get back to the true kernel for the firmware
12. thats it after flashing is done just disconnect and power on device and enjoy rooted phone!

How to Root Xperia Z for LOCKED, UNLOCKED bootloaders

Requirements:

• Xperia Z with stock Sony JB firmware (as of now tested on: 10.1.D.0.317, 10.1.D.0.322, 10.1.A.1.350)
• works on both locked/unlockable bootloaders!
• ADB drivers installed (use this file incase u need to install drivers)
• IMPORTANT: if you are using Windows 8 you will need to enable few things to allow driver installation
• Rooting Toolkit package provided below

How-to:

• increase screen timeout to 10 mins: Settings -> Display -> Sleep -> 10 mins
• enable USB debugging : Settings -> Developer options -> Enable and Settings -> Developer options -> USB Debugging (check it)
• enable install from "unknown sources": Settings -> Security -> Unknown source (check it)
• download the rooting toolkit package and save it on C:\
• exit all adb requiring apps like PC Suite, PC Companion, Flashtool, etc as they will interfere with the rooting process
• extract the ENTIRE contents of the package (and not just one file) to some directory on c:\
• once you are ready with all the above connect phone to PC and execute "runme.bat" from the location where the entire contents are extracted
• press enter to start the process, as the device is detected the toolkit will start executing steps one by one
• keep watching the command prompt and wait for the following to come up "press the button to restore the data in your phone"
• at this point look at the device screen, an app will start, select RESTORE data
• now u will get "if Restoring data is complete," in the command prompt
• at this point open Phone & dial *#*#7378423#*#*
• select "Service tests" in your phone operation.
• select "Display" (screen will turn white), the toolkit will now start executing some commands
• now press power button to turn off screen wait for few seconds and press it power button again (repeat it a few time) till then keep observing the command prompt for outputs
• u will see "transfer files to your phone part2", "installing busybox,su,Superuser,etc..." & finally "Cleaning up"
• after that the device should automatically reboot
• thats it device should now be rooted 

Troubleshooting:


if your device has unlockable bootloader then after applying this hack the bootloader status will turn "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
in that case dont worry the users have reported that doing a repair via SEUS will flash back stock firmware and turn this status to "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes" (the same might also be achieved by flashing a stock FTF using FlashTool <yet to be confirmed>)

ROOT WILL BE LOST BY DOING THE ABOVE AND YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE MAY GET WIPED!
SO DO A BACKUP OF APPS & INTERNAL STORAGE ON AN EXTERNAL SDCARD/PC

• NO. since we are not unlocking the bootloader the /data partition will not be wiped

first step; first and foremost install the correct ADB drivers to ur computer for Lava iris N400 using pdanet software

second step; root lava iris N400 using Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17.zip
- Download and extract this zip file: Click Here
- Enable USB debugging on your lava iris N400. (Go to Settings > Developer Options > Check mark “USB Debugging” and then tap OK button.
- Now connect your lava iris N400 to your computer via USB cable. The drivers should be installed automatically (or use Pdanet to install drivers)
- Go to the folder named “Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17″ and run the “Runme.bat” file. This should open the command prompt.
- Choose the Normal mode by typing ‘1‘ and hit Enter button from your keyboard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the lava iris N400 rooting process. Your lava iris N400 will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
- When your phone is back ON, you should find the superuser SU app in your app drawer. If it’s there, your lava iris N400have been rooted!

Hii guys today i will guide you to root lg optimus net p-690

Here are the steps for rooting your lg optimus net p-690:

1. Download Superoneclick 2.2 :

2. Now you need the LG ADB Drivers:

It is recommended that you restart after installing the drivers.

3. Connect your Device:


After installing the Drivers Connect Your Optimus Net using the data cable. In your Device go to settings>Applications>Development>USB Debbuging. Check the box beside it. It will give you a warning just click OK. When you connect your Device you will see 'Turn USB storage on" option DO NOT TURN IT ON. After connecting you will see in the notification bar that "USB Debbuging On" it means you have done everythng okay until now.

Now before rooting Go to settings>Storage>Unmount SD Card it will ask you if you want to unmount click OK. After it is unmounted you can begin rooting. MAKE SURE YOU UNMOUNT THE SD CARD OTHERWISE IT MAY BE COMPLETELY ERASED.

4. Now Let's Root:

Now Go to the ADB folder. Remember the cmd.exe you pasted there? Click on it.

WINDOWS 7 USERS MAKE SURE BEFORE CLICKING CMD YOU RIGHT CLICK AND CLICK ON 'RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR' AND ALLOW

In the commands write the following:- [Give the exact spaces i have given OTHERWISE IT WILL NOT WORK!!]:-

adb devices (press enter)(after this command you should see your device id)

Now go to Where you extracted Superoneclick and click on superoneclick.exe.

In the window on the Top Left hand Side of the window there will be an option 'ROOT'.

How to root karbbon a11

Karbonn A11 is a 1 Ghz entry level Android 4.0 smartphone. This smartphone comes with a 4 inch capacitive touch screen. In this tutorial I’ll guide you through a process by which you can easily root Karbonn A11.

First we will need to download a dew things to get the things going. See the downloads section below.

Installation

• Install the drivers for Karbonn A11 for Windows to detect it using PdaNet. Choose Others in the Phone Selection and when it asks for connecting your phone, connect it then. Let the drivers install and after this disconnect the phone again.
• Now connect your phone again to Root Karbonn A11.
• Open the folder where you extracted the Root by Bina4ry tool. The files should look like this.

• Double click the RunMe.bat file and it should open in the Command Prompt like this.

• Type 1 and press Enter. The process will start.
• After a while you will be asked to Restore on your device. Let it Restore and it will reboot your phone.
• After its rebooted some important operations will be performed and you can see that on your monitor. Let it complete.
• After its complete disconnect your rooted Karbonn A11 and reboot it.

Congratulations! You have successfully rooted Karbonn A11.

If you love the out-of-the-box features of your Note 2 but you’re unsure about flashing custom recovery to your phone then Chainfire’s root package is the right deal for you. The CF-Auto-Root package comes with the SuperSU binary and APK plus stock recovery. It’s all stock with the root access that will complement your Note 2 experience. 2. Click Odin3 v1.85.exe to launch Odin on your PC.
3. Turn your phone off.
4. Boot your phone to Download Mode. To do this, press and hold down the Volume Down, Home, and the Power buttons. When you see the warning screen, press Volume Up to continue to Download Mode.
5. Connect your phone to your PC using your phone’s USB cable. You will receive an “Added!!” message on your Odin window.
6. Click on PDA and select the .tar.md5 file you extracted earlier.
   • Note: Do not make any other changes in Odin. Do not tick the “Re-partition” option.
7. To flash, click on the Start button in Odin. A “PASS” message will appear at the top-left part of the Odin window to indicate that you have successfully installed CF-Auto-Root. Your phone will automatically reboot once root has been installed.
8. Unplug your phone from your PC after you see the Samsung logo on your phone’s screen.
   • Note: If you encounter a “FAIL” message from Odin or the program does not initiate, disconnect your phone from the computer and close the program. Afterwards, remove your phone’s battery and re-insert it before repeating steps 2 to 8.

How to root Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the most popular devices around, and for good reason. For a long time, and even today, Galaxy devices were considered the cream of the crop of the Android ecosystem. Their accessible price, along with future-proof specs, made them very attractive for new buyers looking to own a Android device, and experienced users knew they would get a well supported device by the community, which turned out to be true. Thus, there is a plethora of modifications available for these devices, most of them requiring root, so today I will provide a step-by-step guide to rooting your Galaxy S3.

Disclaimer: Unlocking and rooting your Samsung Galaxy S3 may void its warranty. I, nor My Droid Arena, nor anyone else assumes liability for any problems, including bricking, that you may encounter.

I will be using CF Auto-Root 1.0 for this, which only supports a limited number of S3 models, and you can see the supported models on this post. You can check your model by going into Settings >About Device. Do not use this if your model is not supported, as it will probably cause problems down the line or even brick your device.  You can find the necessary files and instructions on this thread. I will be posting more detailed instructions with images in here, but you should probably read both of them before you attempt this, especially if you don’t have a lot of experience doing this. The thing about CF Auto-Root is that it doesn’t really replace the stock recovery, keeping everything stock, except rooted. Usually, you would have to use a modified recovery in order to maintain root, but this method lets you keep the original recovery by re-flashing it over the modified recovery after the process is done.

So, the first thing you need to do is to download Odin. If this link doesn’t work, check the thread, it should be attached on the bottom of the second post. Download it, and extract the contents somewhere.

Next, download the appropriate CF Auto-Root version for your device model, and unzip it just like you did for Odin. Make sure you end up with a file with the extension .tar.md5, or else you did it incorrectly.

Next, start Odin, by executing the .exe file you extracted before. Make sure your device isn’t connected yet (but that you have connected it once before). You will be faced with this screen:

Now, click the “PDA” button. It will open a window asking your to open a file. Point it to the .tar.md5 file you extracted before and press “Open”.

Next, you’ll need to out your phone in Download mode. To do this, turn it off, and hold the Volume Down, Home and Power keys at the same time to boot. A warning may appear and ask you to press a certain key, press it and you should see this screen on your device:

Now, connect the phone to your computer. In Odin, make sure that “Repartition” is NOT checked.

Now, all you need to do is press the “Start” button. Odin will let you know when the process is done (it shouldn’t take more than a minute) and you should boot Android as usual. Congratulations, your device is now rooted!

Therefore, we have come up with an article to help you root your Micromax A110 without much trouble. What to do before installing ROM or Rooting your device?

Step 1: We always suggest a full backup of your Android device before you go for rooting or installing custom ROM. Backup all your SMS, Backup/Export Contacts, Backup APN settings. 

Step 2: You should also Backup all apps. If you have an rooted device then use Titanium to Backup and restore apps and cache data.

Step 3: Enable USB debugging on your device, Go to settings>>Developer options and check the USB debug box. If you are not able to get it check our detailed guide on enabling USB debugging on Jelly Bean, Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread.

Step 4: Always check your battery before performing rooting procedure or installing ROM. If you have low battery status then you may face interruption while the procedure and it may brick your device. Check our tutorial on how to get battery percentage on Status bar.

Step 5: If you are going to install Custom ROM then it’s better to create a full Nandroid Backup of your device. You can also use Custom recovery to create Nandroid backup.

Step 6: We would also suggest disabling security apps and programs like Antivirus and Firewall on your Android device as it may interrupt the procedure.

I am sure that if you take care of above mentioned steps carefully then there is lot less chance of issues. If you face any issues with ROM then you can revert back to previous Nandroid Backup. Also you have all SMS, settings and apps data with you that can be restored anytime.

Extract the Bin4ry rooting tool zip package into a folder onto the desktop of your PC for convenience. Rename the CWM recovery file you downloaded to “recovery.img” and then place it to the root directory of your phone’s SD card.

Procedure to Root and Install ClockworkMod on Micromax A110 Canvas 2:

Step 1: First of all, connect your phone to the PC via original USB cable i.e. the cable that came with it.

Step 2: Now, from the folder where you’ve extracted the Bin4ry rooting tool, double-click on “RunMe.bat” file to open it.

Step 3: Follow all the on-screen instructions you see on the command prompt window. Select “1” in the device type.

Step 4: Your device will be rooted in few minutes.

Step 5: Now, whenever you want Unroot your device, select “x” instead of “1” in step 3.

Step 6: When you are prompted to click restore on your device, click on restore on your A110 and it will reboot automatically.

Step 7: The tool will copy the last few required files automatically and then the process will complete automatically.

Step 8: To check whether your device has been rooted or not, you can download theRoot Checker app from the Play Store.

Step 9: Now, to install ClockworkMod Recovery on your device, first all install “MobileUncle MTK Tool” on your device.

Step 10: Next, open up the MobileUncle MTK tool and click on “Update Recovery”.

Step 11: Now, browse to the file you’ve downloaded earlier, renamed it as “recovery.img” and place it onto the SD card.

Step 12: Soon ClockworkMod recovery will be flashed on your device.

Requirements

• A T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889 with custom recovery. For help, see these guides:

• Download the following to your computer:
  • Xquizit N2 ROM (XquiziT_N2_v11.zip, 956 MB)
  • Xquizit N2 Kitchen (XquiziT_N2_Kitchen_v10.zip, 50.6 MB)
• Make sure your device’s battery still has at least 70% power. You don’t want the device to shut down in the middle of the procedure.
• Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.

Instructions

1. Copy XquiziT N2 ROM and XquiziT N2 Kitchen ZIP files to your phone’s SD card.
2. Turn your phone off.
3. Boot your phone to custom recovery. To do this, press and hold down the Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons until the screen turns on.
   • Note: If you’re using a non-touch custom recovery, use the Volume Keys to navigate through options and the Power button to select an option.
4. Create a NANDroid Backup. Select Backup and Restore > Backup.
5. Perform a full wipe by doing the following:
   • Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset > Yes.
   • Select Wipe Cache Partition > Yes.
   • Select Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache > Yes.
6. Select Install ZIP from SD Card > Choose ZIP from SD Card > Locate and select XquiziT N2 ROM file > Yes.
7. Select Go Back > Reboot System Now.
8. Once fully booted into Android, reboot back to custom recovery by repeating step 3.
9. Repeat step 6 and flash XquiziT N2 Kitchen file.
10. Choose from the available options to further customize your ROM.
11. Once you’re done, reboot your phone.

Congratulations! You have successfully flashed the XquiziT N2 ROM on your T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889. Don’t forget to update your binary by running SuperSU. Enjoy!
