How to root lava iris N400 and other iris series

I know so many of us tired of searching about rooting this awesome device Lava iris N400 
For u guys this is the compilation of other works which are working for rooting and this is not my work...Thanks for the developers

completely checked on my LAVA iris N400 so dont worry it wont brick ur device and i have succesfully rooted and using link2sd app its awesome do it guys...............Happy Lava

step by step guide for newbees...

first step; first and foremost install the correct ADB drivers to ur computer for Lava iris N400 using pdanet software
Click Here to download ADB Drivers
use the above link for installing ADB drivers

please exit the pdanet software from the system tray before start rooting because it will interfere with ADB

second step; root lava iris N400 using Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17.zip
- Download and extract this zip file: Click Here
- Enable USB debugging on your lava iris N400. (Go to Settings > Developer Options > Check mark “USB Debugging” and then tap OK button.
- Now connect your lava iris N400 to your computer via USB cable. The drivers should be installed automatically (or use Pdanet to install drivers)
- Go to the folder named “Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17″ and run the “Runme.bat” file. This should open the command prompt.
- Choose the Normal mode by typing ‘1‘ and hit Enter button from your keyboard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the lava iris N400 rooting process. Your lava iris N400 will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
- When your phone is back ON, you should find the superuser SU app in your app drawer. If it’s there, your lava iris N400have been rooted!

third step; use link2sd to extend phone memory (dont worry about small internal memory u can install now alot more enjoy)
make a second partition ext2 on microSD and enjoy the app

now enjoy ur LAVA iris N400 with more apps and dont worry about internal memory and now enjoy all benefits of rooting on LAVA iris N400
this procedure can also be used for rooting all the iris series devices such as iris 350, iris 501 etc,,

How to Root the Micromax Canvas HD A116

In this article,  we will teach you how to root the Micromax Canvas A116 HD Android based Smartphone, which is a Smartphone with a large display and for that are considered to be a phone-tablet hybrid. This delightful phablet has been announced in 2013 in January and is available on the market from 2013, February, its dimensions are 144 x 74 x 10.7 mm and comes with a 5.0 inches display which brings a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, inside of the Micromax Canvas A116 HD we finding a Quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz, Cortex-A7 type. The internal memory storage is a 4 GB with 1.77 GB user available and in additional comes with a card slot available where you can put micro SD up to 32 GB. It is running Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) which can be upgradable to v4.2 (Jelly Bean), this Smartphone has 1 GB RAM memory, a primary 8 MP with 3264 x 2448 pixels back camera and a Secondary camera with 2 MP VGA video recordable. All these features and specifications are principals, but it has more other features. If you want to have a powerful control and for having the possibility to customize and to flash the latest custom ROM s available for this device, you need to root it.

The root access give you a lot of advantages like the possibility to install root-only required applications, or if you want to flash custom recovery images(CWM), like I said, to install custom ROMs, or to have access at the internal files system of your Android OS  and so on.

Before to starting the root procedure, you have to follow some prerequisites that are required to be respected first:

Backup your data stored in your device. The rooting device don’t wipe the data, but if something doesn’t work well or your smartphone doesn’t boot after you apply the root privileges, then you’ll be available to restore your important data, that’s the reason we strongly recommend  to backup your data when apply a root procedure on your Android devices.

The critical data stored in your internal device’s memory are the SMS, call logs, internet settings, your contacts, videos files,  images files, and other documents or files that you consider are necessary to be backed.

From the following path: “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” enable the USB Debugging option

Verify the Micromax Canvas HD A116 device’s battery to have a minimum level 80% power left, to be sure that your device won’t take a forced shut down in the middle of rooting process.

 How to root Micromax Canvas HD A116 device with Bin4ry’s rooting tool:

1. Firstly download the Micromax A116 drivers from HERE and save it in your computer.
2. Secondly Download the Bin4ry’s rooting tool from here and save it in your computer.
3. Now, Extract the Bin4ry’s rooting tool that you have been downloaded on your desktop PC.
4. Connect your Micromax Canvas HD device to your PC using the original USB cable, After you’ve connected the device automatically your PC will install the proper drivers that you have downloaded previously.
5. Now, open the folder named “Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18? and find the “ Runme.bat ” file, this .bat file you going to use it in the rooting process.
6. Now, with your device connected, you have to change the mode of your smartphone connection from USB storage to Media Device.
7. Double-click on RunMe.bat file that you extracted previously to your Computer Desktop. After you double-clicked on the RunMe.bat file, a CMD pop-up window will be open with green text write in it.
8. From that CMD window, press 1 to select the Normal Mode.
9. The rooting process has been started; wait to complete the root process.
10. Your Micromax Canvas HD A116 device will reboot during the root process. It may take a few minutes, so don’t touch anything and keep patience.
11. When the rooting process will be successfully completed from the CMD window you’ll receive a message wit “Have Fun!”, that means that your Micromax Canvas HD A116 device has been successfully rooted.

Congratulation, that’s was all the steps, and now you successfully learnt how to root your Micromax A116 Canvas HD with Bin4ry’s Rooting Tool. To see if your device has been rooted or not, you should to download the  “Root Checker” app from the Google Play Store. If your device isn’t rooted, you need to repeat all the above instructions.

How to move data files to sd card using titanium back up

Hi guys,

Titanium backup is a great root tool. Apart from creating and restoring backups Titanium Backup can also move app data to sd.

[ ROOT REQUIRED ]

I tried it and faced a few problems.
"NO DATA 2 SD DIRECTORY DETECTED"
After searching for answers and not getting any i decided to create a answer my self.

So this is a step by step method to move app data to sd using Titanium Backup
(BASICALLY FOR NOOBS BUT OTHERS CAN PARTICIPATE TOO)..

1. Root your device following the tutorial for your device

2. Create 2 Ext Partition (if you have already done so please move to no. 3)
a. switch of your device and take out your sd card.
b. use a card reader to plug it in your pc ( DO NOT USE YOUR DEVICE TO ACCESS THE CARD)
c. download Mini Tool Partition Wizard
d. create to ext 2 or 3 or 4 partition..Make sure the partition are primary and not logical and the partition size b/w 1GB to 2GB
e. After partitioning insert your card in the device and reboot the device.

3. Download Titanium Backup

4. Open Titanium Backup and open the Backup and Restore Tab.

5. select a SINGLE APP and long press.

6. Select "move app data to sd". A popup will open asking to create a data 2 sd directory.

7. Select Yes.

8. Batch select all apps and move app data to sd.

9. Viola see how your internal memory jumps up..

10. Have fun
